Celebrating 20 years of festivities commemorating Dr. George Washington Carver
He even performed at the famed Carnegie Hall in New York. Dr. Carver once toured the country as a concert pianist to raise money for the University (then Institute) as a concert pianist. In fact, before going into the science field, he was a music major in college. It is reputed that he could play any instrument set before him. It would only be fitting to dedicate part of the festival to music and musicianship in honor of Dr. George Washington Carver.
The Stage will be located on the east side of town square, in front of the Fred Gray Building.
