He even performed at the famed Carnegie Hall in New York. Dr. Carver once toured the country as a concert pianist to raise money for the University (then Institute) as a concert pianist. In fact, before going into the science field, he was a music major in college. It is reputed that he could play any instrument set before him. It would only be fitting to dedicate part of the festival to music and musicianship in honor of Dr. George Washington Carver.
Homegrown David Banks, will be bringing his own unique mix of Gospel and Jazz, that is, the blending of improvisation and inspiration.
Accompanying David will be his prodigious band featuring horns, violin, Caribbean steel drums and a top shelf rhythm section - check it out Saturday May 4 @ 1pm.

From Clarksville Mississippi, this Southern Soul artist/producer is going to "Turn it Up" and "Swing On" the festival stage.
